The BACAP database is a clinical and biological database on pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Clinical data are collected at diagnosis and during patient follow-up. Biological samples are collected only at the time of diagnosis.

Inclusion and Exclusion Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patient with a pancreatic mass explored by FNA echo-endoscopy
  • Patient with a pancreatic mass explored by abdominal CT scan with and without contrast injection and/or biopsy of the mass of secondary lesions via radiological means
  • Patient with histologically and/or cytologically proven pancreatic adenocarcinoma
  • Patient over 18 years old
  • Patient who has given written consent

Exclusion Criteria

  • Patient unable to understand or read the consent form
  • Subject under guardianship, curatorship, or legal protection
  • Patient with a pancreatic tumor whose histological and/or cytological analysis is not adenocarcinoma
  • Patient who has started chemotherapy treatment
  • Patient with another active cancer diagnosed other than pancreatic cancer
  • Pregnant woman

Clinical Data

BACAP consists of clinical data at the time of diagnosis and follow-up data (the framework of the observation notebook or CRF (Case Report Form) is only provided upon request).

  • Biological data (CBC, liver enzymes, albumin, tumor markers)

  • Diagnostic imaging

Pathology

  • Date of diagnostic biopsy and/or surgery
  • Pathology of the biopsy and/or surgical specimen
  • Tumor stage
  • Date of RCP
  • Decision of the RCP

Data collected during follow-up

Visits completed at each patient reassessment (CT scan reassessment, change of chemotherapy line, change of treatment), follow-up focuses on routine care according to the habits of each center (no imposed follow-up rhythm)

  • Presence of thrombosis
  • Biological data (CBC, liver enzymes, albumin, tumor markers)
  • Start and end date of chemotherapy line
  • Type of chemotherapy

Biological Data

For each patient, the following is available :

  • Whole blood: 4 to 6 aliquots of 1ml
  • Serum: 4 to 6 aliquots of 500µl
  • Plasma: 4 to 6 aliquots of 500µl
  • DNA obtained from cytopuncture material
  • RNA obtained from cytopuncture material
  • Slides from surgical specimens
  • Chips from surgical specimens

The biological samples are processed within the biobanks (CRBs) of each center participating in the BACAP project and then stored at the biobank of the CHU of Toulouse.
