Evaluation Procedure

Your request will be evaluated by the BACAP Scientific Committee and will follow the procedure below :

Step 1 : Project submission

For each project submission (sample request form, scientific project), an acknowledgment of receipt will be sent, possibly with a request for additional information if necessary.

Step 2 : Feasibility

If the scientific board's opinion is favorable, a request will be made to the biological resource centers and data processing center to assess the requested population and resource availability.

Simultaneously, financial and regulatory feasibility will be evaluated.

Step 3 : Scientific evaluation

The project will be evaluated by the BACAP scientific committee. The committee will decide on the feasibility and relevance of the project in relation to BACAP’s objectives. The scientific committee will also determine the conditions of the partnership. The scientific committee meets twice a year, with one session in the spring and another in the fall.

Step 4 : Final agreement

After validation by the scientific committee, final approval will be given by the steering committee of the database. A partnership agreement will then be drafted between the project leader and the BACAP partners who will provide the biological resources and/or clinical data according to the conditions determined by the scientific committee.
